We have been there, worrying about our laptop automatically sleeping, which might put you offline on your office chat application or instead cancel the in-progress uploads and downloads.
In the remote set-up, this concern took a front seat. Two minutes to complete a chore, laptop will be in sleep mode.
These are a couple of things people did to mitigate this issue:
1. Place a weight on the space bar after keeping the cursor in the notepad (My approach).
2. Tie the mouse to a rotating fan and since mouse is continuously moving, laptop doesn't sleep.
Recently, I came across a simple and easy solution for this problem.
Just open nosleep.page when you are about to leave the laptop aside and that webpage would stop your laptop from sleeping.
