One of the features that I really like about using a MacBook is its voice-to-text conversion feature called `Dictation`.

> You invoke this feature, you talk what you want to type. And the system will take care of typing it for you.

I don't see many people using this feature, so I thought it would be a good idea to document the steps on how to enable it.

---

### How to enable Dictation on a MacBook

1. Click the **Apple menu ** (top left) → **System Settings**.
2. In the sidebar, select **Keyboard**.
3. Scroll down to **Dictation** and toggle it **On**.
4. Choose your **preferred language** and **shortcut key** (default is pressing the **fn (Globe) key** twice).
5. If prompted, allow the necessary microphone permissions.

After the feature is enabled, invoke, talk, and let the MacBook type everything out.

Pro tip:

1. I’ve found that speaking slowly increases the accuracy rate.
2. Ensure that you review the text that is typed (before sending😈)

There are some bugs within this feature, but I think they're not so frustrating.
